Action roguelites

Action roguelites put your reflexes at the centre: you fight in real time while your build grows over a run. They range from side-scrolling (Dead Cells) to top-down (Hades, The Binding of Isaac) to full 3D (Risk of Rain 2). The good ones feel great before the first upgrade drops; the great ones make each run’s upgrades change how you fight.
